I am trying to use a Tri PLC T100MD888 to read in a pulse width modulated signal. The PLC will then set an analog output signal to an appropriate value based on the duty cycle of the PWM input.

Our input waveform is 100Hz and slightly noisy. It seems the PLC has trouble determining correctly the PulsePeriod, PulseFrequency and PulseWidth.

How does the PLC determine these values? Could I do it in the software a different (perhaps more noise immune) way? The noise on the signal is both in amplitude and pulsewidth.

Any advice you have would be appreciated, even if only to tell me to get a life and fix my noise problem elsewhere.
